Arrival in Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, meet your Amisol Travel representative for welcome assistance. Private transfer to your hotel and check-in. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight: Cairo Novotel 6th of October or similar.

Cairo & Journey to Aswan
After breakfast, meet your Egyptologist and begin your exploration of Cairo. Visit the legendary Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramid, the Pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure and the Great Sphinx. Continue to the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum, where thousands of years of Ancient Egyptian history are brought together in one extraordinary collection. Lunch will be served during the sightseeing programme. In the evening, transfer to Cairo Railway Station and board the Abela Elite Sleeper Train. Settle into your private sleeping cabin as the Abela × Amisol Eclipse Express begins its overnight journey south through the Nile Valley towards Aswan. Overnight: Abela Elite Sleeper Train.

Aswan
Arrive in Aswan and meet your local guide. Begin your exploration with a visit to the beautiful Temple of Philae, dramatically located on an island and reached by motorboat. After sightseeing, transfer to your hotel and check in. Later in the afternoon, board a traditional felucca for a relaxed sailing experience around Aswan's islands and the beautiful Nile landscapes. Optional Experience: A visit to a Nubian Village can be arranged for guests wishing to discover more about Nubian culture and local life. Return to your hotel and enjoy an early night in preparation for Eclipse Day. Overnight: Aswan.

Total Solar Eclipse Day
An unforgettable day begins very early. At approximately 5:00 AM, transfer to Aswan Railway Station and board the morning train to Luxor. Arrival in Luxor is expected at approximately 7:00 AM. Meet your Egyptologist and travel directly to Luxor's legendary West Bank. Explore the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. After sightseeing, continue to our specially prepared Eclipse Festival venue on Luxor's West Bank. The Abela × Amisol Total Solar Eclipse Festival provides a reserved prime viewing area, individual guest space, chairs and umbrellas, water and soft drinks, light refreshments, Abela catering service, a freshly grilled festival lunch, space for cameras and photographic equipment, on-site local assistance and event coordination by Amisol Travel. Experience the extraordinary atmosphere as the Moon gradually crosses the Sun before Luxor is immersed in the unforgettable spectacle of totality. Following the Eclipse Festival, departure from the venue is planned from approximately 4:00 PM. In the evening, visit the magnificent Luxor Temple, especially atmospheric after sunset. Later, transfer to Luxor Railway Station and board the Abela Elite Sleeper Train for the overnight journey back to Cairo. Overnight: Abela Elite Sleeper Train.

Return to Cairo
Upon arrival in Cairo, meet your local representative and continue to historic Khan El Khalili. Enjoy time exploring the atmospheric lanes, traditional shops and cafés of Old Cairo. Afterwards, transfer to your hotel and check in. The remainder of the day is free to relax, enjoy the hotel facilities or spend time around the pool after your extraordinary journey through Upper Egypt. Overnight: Cairo.

Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to Cairo International Airport according to your international flight departure time. Alternatively, continue your journey with one of our optional Egypt extensions: Nile Cruise, Red Sea, Alexandria, Siwa Oasis, Western Desert, Abu Simbel, Golf or a longer Cairo stay.
